Trust & Safety

Your safety is built into every step of the Noturee experience — from who can become a notary on our platform to how your payments and data are protected.

How We Keep You Safe

📋

Verified, Licensed Notaries

Every notary on Noturee must provide proof of their current state notary commission before being approved. We verify that:

  • Commission is active and within the notary's state of authority
  • Government-issued ID matches commission records
  • E&O insurance details are provided (where applicable)
🔍

Background-Checked Notaries

All notaries on the Noturee platform undergo background screening during the onboarding process. This adds an extra layer of security and accountability beyond state licensing requirements alone.

💳

Secure Stripe Payments

Noturee uses Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor, for all transactions. Your financial details are never stored on Noturee servers.

  • Payments are held in escrow until the job is marked complete
  • An $8.95 service fee applies per booking — visible before you confirm
  • Refund policy in place for disputed or incomplete jobs

Verified Reviews

All reviews on Noturee come from verified customers who completed a booking. We do not allow anonymous or unverified reviews. A transparent ratings system means you can make informed decisions based on real feedback.

🛡️

Data Protection

All data transmitted through the Noturee platform is encrypted in transit using TLS. Sensitive user information is stored with encryption at rest. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

⚖️

Dispute Resolution

If a booking doesn't go as expected, Noturee has a dispute process to review the situation. Our support team can assist with payment disputes, concerns about a notary, or issues with job completion.
